The city of Trenčín and the Trenčín 2026 team will participate in the two-year URBACT ON STAGE BRNO project. The aim of the project is to transfer an example of good practice from the city of Brno to the participating Czech and Slovak cities.
The aim of the project is to strengthen the social inclusion of students through music. The goal of the project is also related to the goal of our candidacy #peoplematters (people are important for Trenčín / you can read more in the Bid Book Cultivating Curiosity) as through the project we will create an inclusive environment in schools and involve students in joint community activities through music. Students can also form a joint choir or band and spend their free time together.
We address the topic of inclusion intensively in the #cultivatingcuriosity project, and our goal is to make culture accessible to all citizens and to use a cultural tool, in this case music, to solve social problems and themes. A working group composed of Trenčín teachers, experts and organizations will also be created for the project, but during the whole project we will also be assisted by an expert working group from the URBACT On Stage Brno project.
