In October, you’ll have the opportunity to experience something new in Trenčín. We’ll look at our city, its stories, and relationships through the eyes of different generations, while engaging in creative activities through film, photography, cooking, movement, and voice. People of all ages are welcome to join, just make sure to register on time!
With the guidance of filmmakers from MPhilms (SK), we will create short documentary and experimental FILMS about intergenerational relationships. We’ll also incorporate the city of Trenčín into the filmmaking process by exploring circular forms in the city and reflecting on what they mean.
In our PHOTOGRAPHY workshop, we’ll work with visual artist and photographer Gabriela Zigová, who hails from Trenčín but currently works in London, alongside gallery educator and artist Lucia Kotvanová. We’ll digitize traditionally developed black-and-white photographs and transform them further, even incorporating artificial intelligence.
How does food connect us to childhood, places, and people? At the PERFORMANCE + COOKING workshop, guided by artists from Slovakia, Denmark, Austria, and Spain, we’ll explore food and cooking through bodily senses and memory.
The CITY - HEART - BODY - VOICE workshop will be led by Viktor Fuček and Dominika Belanská, who share a background in architecture and a passion for a sensitive approach to working with space and relationships within it. Together, we’ll find personal ways to express and communicate impressions, memories, and stories, while exploring various places in Trenčín.
Choose Your Activity and Register
These activities will take place from October 18 to 27, 2024. You can participate in the entire program or just join the weekend or evening sessions, depending on your availability. Everyone, from teenagers to middle-aged individuals, and even seniors, is welcome. No prior experience with similar artistic activities is necessary – we’ll explore something new together.
